Just a quiet morning in a little Texas town.
There was no warning g came for what was goin down.
Innocence and evil, walking side by side.
Nowhere to run to, no place to hide.
Lambs left to the slaughter, as the shots rang out.
21 souls to heaven and a million broken hearts.
And we’ve seen it all before.
The shock will fade away…
Here in America it’s just another day.
No one came to save them, in their hour of need.
19 (cops) in the hallway, just let ‘em bleed.
Don’t you try to tell me, nothing can be done.
Who do you really love, you’re children or your guns?
And we go to church on Sunday
And we pray god’s will be done.
Doesn’t seem to matter if the devil has a gun.
And we’ve heard it all before.
It never goes away.
Here in America it’s just another day.
